1.       What are the latest types of workout clothing available today? How are they different than what was available in the market previously?

Working out is becoming increasingly popular today with men and women of all age groups. Hence, there are many more choices in the market today for fitness attire as well – for e.g. aerobic dance-wear, attire for gym workouts, attire for joggers and runner like jog pants, swim-wear for swimming, etc. Fitness wear today comes in trendy designs, colors and cooling –off fabrics, which sweat resistant and allow the body to breathe and sweat to escape.

2.       In what way do these variants of workout clothing help?

Athletic and outdoor wear definitely help in making the work out more enjoyable, as they are suited to the different workouts, suitable for stretching, making movements much easier. Also they don’t get soiled as they don’t absorb perspiration, allowing it to evaporate.

3.       Does workout clothing differ on the type of workout activity? How so?

Yes, fabrics, designs and cuts used in fitness attire is specially made and used for a particular type of workout and help in ease of movement, adding a comfort value, sweat resistant, hence preventing the clothes from getting soiled and heavy.

Different qualities of performance fabrics like Lycra, Spandex, Knit and treated Cotton fabrics are popularly used in making fitness wear as they allow the body to breathe and allow ease in movement.

6.       How do they enhance performance and help in keeping the body at the optimal fitness levels?

Fitness attire does reduce risk of injury, as the cuts which allow ease in movement of body parts, helps to workout correctly. These fabrics are high on being stretchable and hence great for recovery movements. This avoids movements getting caught up in clothes and hence could prevents one from falling, tripping, and hence injuring oneself.

8.       How does workout clothing combat perspiration?

Yes, workout clothes combat perspiration, as most times these clothes are made from fabrics which are sweat resistant, hence the fabrics pull moisture away from the body to quickly evaporate it, leaving garments dry and warm and the body cool.
